I plan and build new websites, redesign and make additions existing sites, and create interactive applications and motion graphics for web delivery.
I have worked recently with Harvard Business Publishing as the Flash and HTML5 developer for the production teams for two online courses for educators , IT for Management and Management Communication.
I served as the web master for the The Bard Graduate Center: Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture, and coordinated the redesign of their website by Paula Scher at Pentagram and an expansion of the institution’s use of online resources.
Before establishing a career as an independent designer, I was the web designer for the CIO.com the online publication of CIO Magazine, and in the five years I served in that capacity designed the start-up websites for CIO magazine’s CIO Executive Council, a professional organization for CIOs, the CIO Best Practice Exchange, a members-only network of CIOs from top-tier organizations, CSO Magazine, Bio-IT World, the redesign of Darwin Magazine online, and participated in the development of a variety of other online initiatives and content.
My interest in digital media began with video projects and an interest in the potential of the Internet as a venue for the presentation of artwork and multimedia. My background is in the fine arts. I addition to exhibiting my own work, I have served as an administrator and educator non-profit organizations, and was a founding partner of The (x) Gallery in Nantucket.
